The Burton Uxbridge Table Tennis Club has a strong achievements list from the 1984 up to the
present day. The list of achievements includes:
- Launched in 1984, and Joined Burton Senior Table Tennis League in 1985.
- Introduced 100's of new players to the Table Tennis scene.
- Produced over 25 county level players for the surrounding areas.
- Produced an English Schools International Player.
- Produced an English International Player.
- Produced a Bahamas Senior International Player.
- Joined Division 3 of the British League, and progressed through to Division 1.
- Won Division 2 of the Womens British League.
- Progressed to the Premier Division of the Junior British League.
- Won National Cadet League, East and West Midlands Division.
- Achieved ClubMark accreditation.
- Helped to Organise Mens and Womens European League Matches at the Meadowside Leisure Centre.
- Helped to Organise Senior County League and Premier Division Matches.
- Organised East Midlands Regional Ranking Trials.
- Helped to Organise the first Womens British League weekend.
- Helped to Organise the first Veterans British League weekend.
- Organsised the Tattersall Select 16, Championship of the East Midlands Region at the Meadowside Leisure Centre.
- Helped to Organise the "Women in Table Tennis" National Seminar.
- Launched the East Staffordshire Youth Club League.
- Setup 9 after-schools Table Tennis clubs, complete with equipment and coaches.
- Launched the Uxbridge ABILITY Table Tennis Club.
- Launched the Burton Cub Scout Table Tennis Tournament.
- Launched the Burton Junior Table Tennis League.
- Organised the Table Top Games, for the East Staffordshire ABLE TOO Games.
- Hosted the English Deaf Table Tennis Squad.
- Assisted East Staffordshire Sports Development to boost sports within surrounding schools.
- British League Club of the Yearfor 2000.
- E.T.T.A. Premier Club of the Year for both 2001 and 2002.
- Hosted many Table Tennis coaching and development courses.
- Launched the Burton Uxbridge Table Tennis Centre at the Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College.
- Secured a £400,000 fund from Sport England to develop a custom built Table Tennis centre.
The Burton Uxbridge Table Tennis Club is still turning out players of outstanding quality at all levels and with
the new sports complex as a base, this trend should continue for a long time to come...
